Summary: personal pronouns and reflexive pronouns

You already know the personal pronouns and the reflexive pronouns. In the first- and second-person singular and plural, the personal pronouns and the reflexive pronouns are identical. There are differences only in the third-person singular and plural.

Accusative:
Max und Tarek forgot the anniversary. Nico reminds them about it:
Nico erinnert sie an das Jubiläum. (The subject is not identical to the accusative object.)

Max und Tarek have not forgotten the celebration. Max und Tarek remember it:
Max und Tarek erinnern sich an das Jubiläum. (The subject is identical to the accusative object.)

Dative:
