Are you fit? Do you jog regularly? How often do you go to a gym?

Lots of people in Germany take their physical fitness seriously. If you go for a walk in the park, you'll notice how many people are out joggen or walken (Nordic walking – with poles). Others will be playing badminton, jumping over hurdles, or balancing on slacklines.

Across Germany, nearly 10 million people are members of a gym. Yoga, pilates and zumba are particularly popular. But lifting weights and swimming are also in.

Young as well as older people value physical fitness. Aside from the health aspects and improving their appearance, most people want to feel good.
