IN THE THEATRE FOYER IN HAMBURG
NARRATOR:
Harry is still in Hamburg. And somewhere here, Anderson is keeping an eye open for him. So what should he do? Well, for now, he's found himself an 'exquisite' hiding place.
HARRY:

Power, money, love which can be bought. Beggars, whores and gangsters. The story deals with the competition and the fight for survival between two 'businessmen': One of them is the head of the London beggars' mafia, who oppresses beggars and kits them out so that passers-by will take pity on them.

The other one is a criminal who has good contacts with London's chief of police.
